BACKGROUND: "DEATH ROW"
Just over a week ago, local politician Ian Wilkins was found murdered in his home in Lerville.
The police acted quickly, and after interrogations, forensic evidence, and an unexpected confession, Leo Laurent was
identified as the perpetrator. The case seemed solved before it had even begun.
But then new questions were raised…
Just two days ago, police officer Harvey Young — one of the investigators in the case — was convicted of obstruction of justice and gross misconduct in another matter.
In the wake of the verdict, the chief of police has ordered a full review of all investigations Young has been involved in over the past year.
Leo Laurent is already convicted. His execution is scheduled for March. Time is running out. A life is at stake.
